Walking map

The IGN 1 to 25,000 map, number 2435OT, ("Monts du Cantal") is the definitive large scale map for the region. It shows all GR footpaths, most PR's, and many other tracks and paths.

In the area defined by the map there are more than 25 distinct peaks over 1500 metres high with about 10 being over 1700 metres. The peaks vary in character from the gentle rounded variety (Gros, Plomb du Cantal) to the pyramidal (Mary), the conical (Griou), and the fairly rocky (Peyre-Arse, Chavaroche, l'Elancèze).
